Job summary

The Compleat Food Group is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst at our Nottingham site to shape financial performance through robust analysis, reporting and strategic partnering with operations and commercial leaders. You will drive weekly and monthly commercial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide insightful challenge to improve profitability and growth across the business.

• Working towards or in possession of a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA preferable).

Responsibilities

• Ownership of weekly and monthly commercial reporting, providing timely and insightful information to key stakeholders within the group
• Work with the commercial finance team to prepare the annual budget
• Support the commercial team with the monthly volume re-forecast
• Manage the promotional cycle, including pre-promotion appraisal, price maintenance, system integrity and post-promotional analysis
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations for long- and short-term discount postings
• Reconcile commercial items to ERP systems at month end
• Develop focused brand and channel P&L reporting
• Provide ad-hoc scenario modelling for the commercial team

You will play a key role in shaping the financial success, partnering closely with operational and commercial leaders. You will provide strategic financial insight, challenge decision-making, and deliver robust analysis that drives performance, profitability, and sustainable growth.

Working Hours:

The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 5pm, and Fridays 8.30am-4pm – who doesn’t love an early finished on a Friday?

We also offer Hybrid and flexible working.

Your Duties Will Include:

• Ownership of weekly and monthly commercial reporting, providing timely and insightful information to key stakeholders within the group
• Work alongside colleagues in the commercial finance team to prepare the annual budget
• Supporting the commercial team with the monthly volume re-forecast
• Manage the promotional cycle, encompassing pre-promotion appraisal, price maintenance, system integrity and post-promotional analysis
• Management of both long- and short-term discount postings with robust balance sheet reconciliations
• Management of reconciliation of commercial items to ERP systems at month end
• Development of focussed brand and channel P&L reporting
• Be prepared to support the commercial team with various ad-hoc scenario modelling

Your Skills and Experience:

• Have the ability to work in a growing fast paced environment
• Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Be a very focused individual with excellent organisation and time management skills
• Be able to build strong relationships through great communication and interpersonal skills
• High levels of attention to detail
• Possess commercial awareness and business acumen
• Have an inquisitive mind, willing to challenge and improve normal processes
• Working towards or in possession of a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA preferable)
