Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland invites applications for a Management Accountant on a temporary 3–6 month contract based in Canvey Island. The role requires taking ownership of monthly management accounts, variance analysis, budgeting support, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Immediate start available for candidates able to begin within two weeks. The ideal candidate is qualified or part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent) with strong analytical and reporting skills and advanced Excel

Qualifications

• Qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
• Previous Management Accountant experience essential
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Advanced Excel and experience with accounting systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
• Able to start within two weeks

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established business based in Canvey Island on a temporary basis for an initial 3-6 month contract.

This role is ideal for a proactive finance professional who can quickly integrate into the team, take ownership of financial reporting, and support business decision-making through accurate and timely management information.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Variance analysis and commentary
• Budgeting and forecasting support
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Month-end reporting and journal entries
• Cash flow monitoring and reporting
• Assisting with annual audits and compliance requirements
• Producing financial reports and analysis for senior management
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements within the finance function

About You

• Qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
• Previous Management Accountant experience is essential
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
