Management Accountant (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week in Cambridge office
Salary: £39,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience
Contract: Fixed Term - 12 months (Maternity Cover), starting September 2025 or earlier
Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for your next challenge in a collaborative and mission-driven environment? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled finance professional to join a Cambridge-based organisation on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
Working closely with the Head of Finance and supporting a small team, you will play a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and audit support.
Prepare monthly management accounts to review stage, including detailed analysis and variance reporting.
Lead the annual budget setting process, supporting budget holders and producing relevant reports and spreadsheets.
Oversee monthly journals, including accruals, prepayments, and payroll reconciliations.
Produce pension schedules and manage year-end reporting for pension schemes.
Support the year-end statutory audit, completing assigned audit file sections and finalising appendices to the annual accounts.
Provide financial oversight for investment properties, conferences, catering, and student accounts.
Participate in an upcoming finance system implementation project, contributing as relevant to the role.
Proven experience in management accounting and budget preparation.
Strong analytical and Excel skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across departments.
