The Opportunity

I’m currently partnering with a well-established, multi-site business operating in the specialised industrial services sector. They’re known for their operational reliability, fast-paced commercial environment, and hands-on culture. The finance function plays a key role in keeping things running smoothly.We’re hiring for a fixed-term contract Management Accountant role to support a key finance function during a maternity leave. This is a hands-on opportunity within a dynamic and multicultural finance team, offering genuine exposure to senior stakeholders and team leadership.

Offer: Expected by end of next week

Key Responsibilities:

• Full ownership of the management accounting process, including accruals, prepayments, and minor intercompany consolidations
• Production of accurate trial balances and full monthly packs
• Monitoring daily sales and supporting data verification processes
• Presenting cost centre analysis and financial insights to directors
• Collaborating across teams and ensuring accuracy of financial inputs
• Overseeing and mentoring two junior finance team members

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Part-qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA preferred; ACA would be highly regarded)
• Confident with accruals and their impact on reporting and balance sheets
• Strong communicator, able to lead conversations and manage stakeholders with clarity and professionalism
• Previous experience managing or supporting junior team members
• Background in stock or manufacturing environments is helpful
• Hands-on, reliable, and comfortable working independently
• Must be available to begin in early June.
