Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) required.
  • Excellent IT skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Significant experience in financial management, preferably within the education sector.

Responsibilities

Job description

As one of the fastest-growing Colleges in the UK, delivering courses from entry level right up to Masters degrees, Weston College is an inspiring place to work.

We currently seeking an outstanding individual to join us as a Management Accountant to be responsible for the production of the management accounts for the College Group (including subsidiaries).

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week.

It is expected that i nterviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.

Key Duties and responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis e.g. Development and production of financial reports including Variance analysis.
  • Budget Management e.g. Supporting the business planning process, providing healthy challenge and support to allow robust budgets to be built.
  • Compliance, Risk and Audit e.g. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaboration e.g. Providing an excellent level of customer service, supporting through business partnering.
  • Process Improvement e.g. Identifying and implementing improvements in financial processes and systems.
Required skills and qualifications
  • Qualified accountant (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Excellent IT skills using the MS Office package, particularly in Excel.
  • Significant experience in financial management, preferably within the education sector.
