Job summary

DJH in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance team. You will partner with senior management, prepare monthly management accounts, manage month-end procedures, VAT, and board reports in a fast-paced environment.

Nearly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with industry or practice experience and strong communication skills will thrive here. The role offers a flexible hybrid setup, exposure to budgeting, forecasting and staff development.

Qualifications

• Nearly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with industry or practice experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient in financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for group companies.
• Support daily bookkeeping duties and maintain accurate ledgers.
• Manage month-end procedures including WIP adjustments and department reporting.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns on time.
• Compile management packs for board presentations.
• Assist with year-end and statutory accounts, cashflow forecasting and budgeting.
• Prepare weekly reports covering staff analysis and performance metrics.
• Coach and train junior team members.

As a Management Accountant you’ll be fully immersed with our experienced Finance team to successfully partner with senior management and key leadership figures to achieve great things together. Life will be fast paced, engaging, creative and rewarding.

It’s a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to challenge themselves, develop and progress within a forward-thinking and fast-paced firm. You’ll:

• Prepare monthly management accounts for companies in the Great Things Together Group
• Support with daily bookkeeping duties alongside the rest of the team
• Manage month-end procedures such as client WIP adjustments and department reporting
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Collate management packs to be presented to the board
• Assist with year-end and statutory accounts for group companies, cashflow forecasting and budgeting
• Prepare weekly reports including staff analysis, chargeability and performance packs
• Confidently coach, develop and train junior members of the team
