Job summary

DJH in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Management Accountant to partner with the Finance team and senior leadership to drive financial performance. This fast-paced role combines monthly reporting, budgeting, VAT, and performance analysis to support strategic decisions.

You’ll be nearly or newly ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, thrive in collaboration, and bring strong communication skills. The position offers flexible hybrid working, a competitive salary, and a commitment to staff development.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualification or progress toward
• Experience in a management accountant role
• Tech-savvy with knowledge of CCH
• Strong collaborative and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for group companies and present to board
• Support daily bookkeeping duties with finance team
• Manage month-end procedures and department reporting
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Collate management packs for board review
• Assist with year-end and statutory accounts, cashflow forecasting and budgeting
• Prepare weekly reports including staff analysis and performance packs
• Coach and train junior team members

As a Management Accountant you’ll be fully immersed with our experienced Finance team to successfully partner with senior management and key leadership figures to achieve great things together. Life will be fast paced, engaging, creative and rewarding.

• Prepare monthly management accounts for companies in the Great Things Together Group
• Support with daily bookkeeping duties alongside the rest of the team
• Manage month-end procedures such as client WIP adjustments and department reporting
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Collate management packs to be presented to the board
• Assist with year-end and statutory accounts for group companies, cashflow forecasting and budgeting
• Prepare weekly reports including staff analysis, chargeability and performance packs
• Confidently coach, develop and train junior members of the team
