Job summary

IN2 Consult is recruiting a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. The role suits newly qualified or finalist ACCA/CIMA accountants, with responsibility for monthly management accounts and financial analysis in a growing, tech-enabled business. The position is 95% remote with occasional travel to the South East office.

You will partner with budget holders, maintain balance sheet reconciliations, manage month-end processes and produce timely reporting packs for senior management.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified or finalist ACCA/CIMA accountant.

• Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and month-end processes.
• Excellent Excel skills and ability to analyse large data sets.

Management Accountant- Permanent- ACCA/CIMA/ACA- Up to £50,000- 95% Remote with occasional commute to the South East Office

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or finalist ACCA/CIMA accountant to take ownership of a broad Management Accountant position within a growing technology business.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the monthly reporting cycle, taking responsibility for the preparation of management accounts and ensuring financial information is accurate, meaningful and delivered on time.

You’ll work closely with budget holders across the business, providing analysis, explaining financial performance and helping stakeholders understand the numbers behind their areas.

The position is 95% remote, offering excellent flexibility, with occasional travel to the company's South Coast office.

Key Responsibilities

• Management Accounts: Prepare the monthly management accounts, overseeing the month-end close and producing accurate, timely reporting packs.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation and a robust audit trail.
• Month-End Processes: Manage monthly accruals, prepayments and associated month-end journals.
• Financial Analysis: Undertake variance analysis against budget and prior periods, providing clear commentary on key movements and performance drivers.
• Business Partnering: Work closely with budget holders, explaining financial results and responding to queries across the business.
• Ad Hoc Reporting: Support additional reporting requirements and wider finance projects as required.

About You

• ACCA or CIMA: Newly qualified or finalist accountant.
• Management Accounts: Hands-on experience preparing monthly management accounts within a commercial environment.
• Technical Accounting: Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and month-end processes.
• Excel: Confident using Excel, with experience handling and analysing large data sets.
• Analytical Mindset: Able to interpret financial information and communicate the story behind the numbers.
• Communication: Comfortable engaging with stakeholders and budget holders across the business.
• Self-Motivated: Organised, proactive and confident working independently within a predominantly remote environment.
• Flexibility: Willing and able to travel to the South Coast office occasionally.
