Job summary

SF Partners is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role is hands-on and focuses on delivering timely management information and insightful financial analysis.

You will own month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting support, and work with stakeholders across the business. Hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office; immediate start.

Management Accountant - 6 Month FTC

£45,000 | 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract | Hybrid Working - 2-3 Days in the Office

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established business on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is a hands‑on role supporting the wider finance team, with responsibility for delivering accurate and timely management information and providing meaningful financial insight to the business.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Month-end reporting and ensuring deadlines are met
• Accruals, prepayments and journal postings
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Budgeting and forecasting support
• Variance analysis against budget and forecast
• Producing financial analysis and commentary
• Supporting cash flow and financial reporting
• Working closely with operational and commercial stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc analysis and projects

The ideal candidate:

You’ll be an experienced Management Accountant who is comfortable taking ownership of the month‑end process and working within a fast‑paced finance environment.

You’ll ideally be part‑qualified, qualified by experience or actively studying ACCA/CIMA, with strong Excel skills and previous experience producing management accounts.

You’ll be a confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.

The package:

• Salary: £45,000
• Contract: 6 Month FTC
• Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in the office
• Start: ASAP
