Kenton Black Limited, based in Preston, is seeking a hands-on Management Accountant to join a 5-person accounts team. The role covers production of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, journals, budgeting and year-end processes within a supportive, flexible hybrid environment.

The role offers full-time hours (35 per week) with a mix of in-office and home working, alongside benefits including generous leave, life assurance, healthcare cash plan and employee assistance schemes.

Responsabilidades

• Produce the management accounts pack including P&L, balance sheet, commentary and analysis.
• Carry out balance sheet reconciliations.
• Post journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Assist in budget preparation.
• Assist with year end reporting, statutory reporting and audits.
• Support process improvements and efficiencies.
• Provide ad hoc financial analyses and reports for decision making.
• Support with purchase ledger as required.

A newly created Management Accountant position has become available within a Preston based business which has been operating for 20+ years. The new Management Accountant will work within a friendly team of 5 accounts staff in a varied and hands on position supporting with all financial operations for the business.

Your New Role as Management Accountant:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, as Management Accountant duties will include:

• Production of the management accounts pack including P&L, balance sheet, commentary and analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
• Assist in budget preparation
• Assist with year end reporting, statutory reporting and audit
• Support in driving process improvements and efficiencies
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reports to support effective decision making
• Support with purchase ledger as required

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The successful candidate will be established in a similar hands on management accounting remit and be comfortable in providing transactional accounting support as required. Experience of working in a fast-paced and high volume environment is desirable with a forward thinking approach. Additionally, strong communication skills are required with the ability to work cross-functionally to partner with various internal stakeholders.
