Job summary

Vistry Group in Redhill, Surrey, is looking for a Senior Finance Analyst/Management Accountant to join Vistry South East. You will report to the Financial Controller and lead month-end close, produce weekly, monthly and annual management reports, and support the statutory accounts process.

You’ll work with COINS and Anaplan, help maintain a robust control environment, and provide insightful commentary and analytics.

Qualifications

• ACA / ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Proven track record in month-end close and producing monthly management accounts.
• 0-2 years PQE.
• Experience of helping maintain a robust control environment.
• Strong knowledge of Excel.
• Experience of COINS accounting system.
• Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Drive timely month-end close across the region with the Financial Controller.
• Prepare management accounts and provide monthly commentary.
• Reconcile project gross profit to management accounts gross profit.
• Ensure data integrity on COINS and Anaplan; assist with site setup.
• Post house sale statements and journals to COINS.
• Monitor daily bank movements and variance analysis.
• Analyse variances with the QS and align with forecast.
• Maintain retention tracker and bonds forecasts with senior management.
• Monitor costs and recharges to subcontractors where possible.
• Produce weekly sales and build reports; contribute to process improvements.
• Prepare schedules for statutory audits and support the Finance team.

As our Senior Finance Analyst, you will report to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for month-end close, the production of weekly, monthly, and annual management reports and Statutory Accounts, along with supporting analytics and information.

• Working with the Financial Controller to drive timely month-end close across the region.
• Preparation of management accounts and supporting commentary on a monthly basis.
• Reconciling project gross profit to management accounts gross profit, verifying reconciling items with the commercial finance function.
• Ensuring integrity of data on COINS and Anaplan. Assisting with new site setup and maintenance of sites.
• Posting of house sale completion statements and journals to COINS.
• Monitoring daily bank movements and variance analysis.
• Ensuring invoices are raised in line with the sales forecast, analysing variances with the QS.
• Updating and reviewing the retention tracker and bonds forecast with senior management, setting targets for completion.
• Monitoring customer care costs, ensuring costs are recharged to subcontractors wherever possible.
• Manage production of weekly sales and build reports.
• Improving systems and procedures.
• Preparation of schedules for statutory audit.
• Work closely with the rest of the Finance team to ensure integrity of the accounting system.
• Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving unusual items in a timely manner.
• Deputising for FC during any absences
