Job description

Sunseeker was founded on a bold vision: to create a new kind of yacht and redefine what was possible on the water. From our earliest designs in 1967, we’ve pushed boundaries and reshaped the motor yacht industry through innovation, craftsmanship and relentless ambition.

At the heart of every Sunseeker lies a legacy of expert hands and meticulous attention to detail, skills refined and passed down through generations. These are the qualities that set our yachts apart - and the qualities that continue to drive our craft today.

In a world increasingly defined by automation, we remain committed to building hand‑crafted, hand‑finished boats. With over 1,800 talented team members across our busy shipyards - from long‑serving specialists to more than 180 apprentices - our Sunseeker workforce reflects the strength, diversity and pride of our local community. It’s this blend of heritage, skill and passion that makes our shipyards unlike any other place in the world.

Who We Are Seeking

We are seeking a qualified and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our Finance team at Sunseeker International. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who thrives on producing accurate financial information, supporting business decision-making, and driving continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and confident building relationships with stakeholders across the business. You'll be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and delivering high-quality financial reporting within tight deadlines.

A Day in the Life

As a Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the financial performance of the business. Your day could involve preparing monthly management accounts, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, partnering with operational teams to provide financial insight, and supporting forecasting and budgeting activities.

Working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, you'll help ensure strong financial controls are maintained while identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting. No two days are quite the same, with involvement in month-end activities, audits, projects, and ad hoc financial analysis.

Example Responsibilities Include
  • Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes, including statutory audit requirements.
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
  • Reviewing and improving financial processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
  • Supporting the annual insurance renewal process.
  • Assisting with ONS surveys and other regulatory or statutory reporting requirements.
  • Providing cover and support for other members of the Finance team when required.
  • Contributing to finance projects and ad hoc reporting requests.
To Be Considered for This Role You Should Have
  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant position.
  • Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • A commercial mindset and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
  • Experience with SAP would be highly advantageous, although experience with other ERP systems and financial reporting tools will also be considered.
  • Previous manufacturing experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
