Qualifications

Job description

Qodea is looking to hire a driven Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Manchester. This role will report to the Finance Manager but will also interact with senior leadership teams throughout the business.

  1. Plan, organise and manage own workload to ensure your contribution to the company’s monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts, responsible for prepayments, accruals, deferred income, deferred costs, and the P&L.
  3. Reconcile key balance sheet accounts.
  4. Perform variance analysis on a monthly basis and review actual versus budget results.
  5. Have full ownership of the fixed asset registers, including calculating depreciation, disposal logs, and equipment allocation.
  6. Calculate and review sales commissions, liaising with account managers about their commission plans and resolving queries.
  7. Analyse data using spreadsheet techniques to maintain invoicing and monthly revenue processes.
  8. Manage the invoicing process of a key customer.
  9. Provide support to the payables and receivables processes as required.
  10. Engage in our social progress initiatives, such as community projects or supporting local businesses during travel.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
  • AAT qualified or qualified/part qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Good understanding of accounting processes and procedures.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills and high-level numerical skills with the ability to interpret data quickly.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to identify actions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Team player attitude.
