Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Responsible for providing financial and management services to ensure an efficient, accurate and timely financial and management accounting function. Delivering an excellent standard of compliance with external regulatory and reporting obligations, internal management reporting processes and deadlines. Providing financial control and accounting oversight assistance.
- Assistance of EMEA accounting operations, production and assistance of all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, cash accounting, tax compliance and financial reporting.
- Supporting across the Corporate cost centers with PO creation/processing, analysis of spend and invoice coding.
- Preparation of EMEA consolidation reporting ensuring monthly deadlines achieved and full reconciliations provided.
- Preparing of the statutory reporting books and associated reconciliations.
- Follow structured monthly close and reconciliation review process in order to complete a month-end close within five business days.
- Preparation of monthly management reporting adhering to month end deadlines.
- Manage relationships with third party accountants and financial advisors.
- Support on the annual group, UK and EMEA audits ensuring deadlines are achieved and a high standard of working papers and supporting documentation provided.
- Support accounting integration of acquisitions and/or new business ventures.
- Assist in maintaining strong financial controls and escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Promotes a supportive team environment and provides work direction and guidance including coaching, professional development and training.
- Identify potential process efficiencies & contribute towards a high standard, continuous improvement culture.
- Develop super-user expertise for the company global accounting software, Workday and uses system capabilities to streamline and improve processes.
- Ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED- Qualified/Part Qualified with a recognised UK professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or overseas equivalent or demonstrate expertise in a similar role
- Demonstrable success in a management/financial accounting role with International affiliate experience.
- Minimum of 2+ years in management/financial accounting roles Ability to multi-task effectively without losing quality. Tenacious, persistent and highly motivated with advanced organisational and analytical skills.
- Experience working in a multi-national company
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications specifically with Excel. Ideally Pivot tables & VLOOKUPs.
