Job summary

A leading retail company seeks a Management Accountant to join its finance team in London. The role involves producing management accounts, managing cash flow, and supporting the Finance Director. Ideal candidates are part/fully qualified accountants with strong analytical and communication skills, eager to contribute to financial processes in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) essential.
Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills required.
Experience in management accounts preferred.

Responsibilities

Production of management accounts each month.
Managing cashflow and liaising with brands.
Assisting in the budget and forecasting process.

Working as one of the accounts team members to undertake analysis and reporting. Assist in the development of the finance department and the wider business. Production of the management accounts each month and delivering on month end tasks. Managing cashflow, talking to brands and managing expectations. The individual will learn and help improve existing processes ensuring a professional and accurate approach to all work undertaken. A natural requirement to be inquisitive and ask questions whilst at the same time observing good etiquette in dealing with other team members and wider staff where required. Excellent attention to detail and a passion for performance management.

Duties and Responsibilities

·Review of working paper support files

·Assisting the Finance Director on business related matters

·Daily and weekly cashflow oversee

·Dashboard development/creation and maintenance

·Assisting in the annual budget process

·Assisting in the forecasting process

·Providing reporting support to the wider business

·Overseeing system and solution enhancements for finance and the wider business

·Occasion IT issues to be resolved

·Supporting Farfetch reporting and analysis

·Brand Profitability analysis and liaising with Merchandising

Qualifications

Ideally one of the following. Part/fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA)

Skills or Experience Required

·Strong financial modelling skills and the confidence to communicate with senior stakeholders

·Experienced in management accounts

·Experience of Power BI

·Excellent mathematical and numeracy skills

·Advanced Excel Skills

·Methodical and organized

·Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels

·Microsoft Business Central and Jet analytics an advantage

Other Requirements

A background of working in retail or the fashion industry would be an advantage.
