Role: Management Accountant
Location: Hillsborough area – On-site
Hours: Full Time (Monday–Friday)
Salary: £45,000 – £52,000 (experience dependent)

This business is involved in delivering high-value projects in both the public and private sectors, with an emphasis on construction-related services.

The Role:

This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially minded accountant to take ownership of the financial performance and reporting of key projects. Working closely with senior leadership and project managers, the successful candidate will drive accurate reporting, cost control, and informed decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts
• Develop and monitor project budgets, tracking costs and variances
• Lead the annual budgeting process alongside department heads
• Provide cost analysis and financial insights to improve profitability
• Manage cash flow forecasting and financial planning
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
• Ensure compliance with tax and financial regulations
• Support internal and external audit requirements
• Work with project teams to track financial performance and projections
• Prepare regular financial reports for senior management

The Requirements

:
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a project-based or construction environment
• Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills
• Experience using Sage 50 (or similar accounting software)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
