Job summary

Equans is seeking a Management Accountant in Lewisham for a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week). You will deliver monthly financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting for multiple service lines, while monitoring expenses and cash flow.

The role supports contractual compliance, risk management and pricing activities across the E+S business units. The successful candidate will have towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA, strong Excel skills, and the ability to analyse complex data.

• Experience in financial reporting and budgeting processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting for service lines.
• Produce forecasts and budgets with re-forecasts as needed.
• Monitor expenses and cash flow; support debt collection and invoicing.
• Support risk assessment, pricing variations and tender pricing as required.
• Assist with the management and reporting systems to provide meaningful financial information.

Equans is looking for a Management Accountant to join the team in Lewisham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.The Management Accountant is responsible for delivering professional, timely and accurate financial reporting & forecasting, for a range of business units within Equans E&S. This is a broad role, which encompasses financial management, contractual support and risk management.The Finance department at Equans E&S is regarded as a trusted and strong partner. We support business leaders to effectively manage, and shape the future of the business by providing smart financial information, contractual analysis, and advice.What will you deliver?Take responsibility for producing timely/accurate/compliant monthly financial results (P&L and balance sheet), for each of the service lines within your scope. Produce forecasting exercises (budget and re-forecasts). Monitor, track and analyse the operational expenses in the month and recommend efficiencies where possiblePresentation of meaningful trends and variance analysis to enable your customers to make informed decisions. Provision of internal and statutory audit justifications as requiredTake responsibility for the production of key financial indicators. Analyse and provide recommendations to site management, to optimise the Company’s position (i.e. supplier payments, debtor days, etc)Preparation of the monthly core service fee invoice and other invoices based on contractual information and operational records on non-core activityMonitoring and chasing of debt with clients with a view to optimising cashflows in accordance with contractual arrangementsEvaluate and challenge - using appropriate data and analytics - the budgeting and operations of each site and service line: resource levels, performance vs. output specifications and suitable benchmarksSupport general managers to minimise performance penalties. Analyse root causes /recommendationsLiaise with relevant staff to improve paper flow and cash flow, making suggestions where appropriateAssist with analysing / auditing contractual compliance and risks, to provide sound support to site management, and ensure that the business is gaining full entitlement of contractual arrangementsProvide support to your manager and business leaders when pricing contractual variations and tendering for new opportunities (pricing, modelling, etc)Play a key role with the Operational team reviewing the monthly Performance Management System with a view to minimising risk to the businessTake an active part in the optimisation of our management systems and reporting suite – to provide meaningful financial information to our customers, in the most effective way
