Job summary

Vertu Volkswagen Leeds is seeking a talented Management Accountant to join our team, split across Harrogate (2 days) and Leeds (3 days). The role covers management accounts, forecasts, payroll, cashflow, reconciliations and reporting, with mentoring for junior finance staff.

The successful candidate will demonstrate analytical capability, be well organised and committed to driving business performance across two sites.

Are you looking to join one of the UK's largest and most successful motor retail groups? Vertu Volkswagen Leeds is expanding, and we're looking for a talented Management Accountant to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant or an Assistant Accountant ready to step up. If you're analytical, organised, and passionate about supporting business performance, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note this is a multi-site role, working 2 days per week in Harrogate and 3 days per week in Leeds.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work closely with the team to produce accurate financial information, enabling effective business decision-making across both locations. This role supports our operations in Leeds and Harrogate, with your working week split between the two sites.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing management accounts
• Forecasts and estimates
• Payroll processing
• Accruals and prepayments
• Cashflow management
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Reconciling manufacturer bonuses
• Creating spreadsheets and statistical reports for the management team
• Coaching and developing colleagues within the finance team
