Hewett-Recruitment are recruiting a hands-on Management Accountant for a Kidderminster-based group. You will oversee the accounts department, produce monthly management accounts for the group and manage a small team.

Working closely with the General Manager you will prepare cash flow forecasts, annual P&L forecasts, VAT returns, intercompany transactions, PAYE submissions and support external auditors. Sage 200 experience is preferred.

Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for a varied role where you can take ownership of the finance function whilst also leading and supporting a small team?

We are working with an established business in Kidderminster who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to oversee their accounts department. Working closely with the General Manager, you will be responsible for the management accounting processes across the group whilst managing and supporting a team of three.

The Role

This is a hands-on and varied position where no two days are likely to be the same. Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing monthly Management Accounts for the group
• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the Accounts department
• Managing and supporting a team of three
• Preparing and posting journals
• Producing cash flow forecasts
• Preparing annual P&L forecasts and analysing performance against them
• Completing quarterly group VAT returns
• Managing intercompany transactions
• Completing PAYE submissions
• Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
• Capitalising assets manufactured in-house
• Monitoring and analysing payroll expenses
• Supporting external accountants with the annual audit
• Producing ad hoc financial reports for senior management

About You

We’re looking for someone who is self‑motivated, organised and happy to get involved across all areas of the accounts function.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Management Accountant/ Finance Manager or similar finance role
• Sage 200 experience
• Experience of supervising or managing a small team
• CIMA or an equivalent accounting qualification would be advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
