Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking a Management Accountant to drive budgeting, forecasting and management accounting for a mid-size area in a regulated environment. You will deliver accurate actuals, forecasts and budgets, coordinating with budget holders and the Finance Manager.

The role offers flexible working options and a strong focus on financial controls, continuous process improvement, and providing high-quality financial insight to stakeholders across the business area.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified finance professional (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in producing actuals, forecasts and budgets.
• Experience with management accounting and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Produce budgets and forecasts for the designated area.
• Be the single point of contact for budget holders for financial data.
• Ensure milestones and objectives are built into the budget timetable.
• Drive continuous improvement of budgeting processes with the team.
• Deliver the forecasting process with challenge to bottom-up assumptions.

Management AccountantCirca £43,344 dependent on skills and experiencePermanent, full time (37 hours) with potential flexible working optionsHuntingdon / PeterboroughDive into a world of opportunity, and join our team!Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning, performance, and decision-making across your business area. You will be delivering high-quality financial insight, budgeting and forecasting, and commercial support that enables informed decision-making in a complex and regulated environment. You will be accountable for delivering accurate actuals, forecasts, and budgets for both the area you support and other areas within the remit of the Finance Manager and your team.You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with financial controls policy & procedure, escalation of control issues and communicating key financial controls messages across the virtual finance teams for your designated business area. You will deliver the business planning and management accounting processes for the designated business area for OPEX and CAPEX, driving continuous improvement of processes, communicating key messages and timescales to stakeholders.
