Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking a Management Accountant to deliver budgets, forecasts, and insightful financial analysis within a regulated environment. You will own actuals, forecasts, and budgets and support business decision-making across the designated area.

You will report into the Finance Manager and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, with flexibility for working options and a strong focus on compliance and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum part-qualified finance professional (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in managing stakeholders.
• Experience in producing actuals, forecasts and budgets.
• Experience with management accounting.
• Experience of compliance with financial controls and processes.
• Sound knowledge of financial reporting tools (Power BI, SAP) and delivering high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

• Produce financial budgets and forecasts for your designated area.
• Single point of contact for budget holders for data and information.
• Collaborate with Financial Controller to build milestones and plan.
• Ensure budget timetable compliance.

Management Accountant

Circa £43,344 dependent on skills and experience Permanent, full time (37 hours) with potential flexible working options Huntingdon / Peterborough

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning, performance, and decision-making across your business area. You will be delivering high-quality financial insight, budgeting and forecasting, and commercial support that enables informed decision-making in a complex and regulated environment. You will be accountable for delivering accurate actuals, forecasts, and budgets for both the area you support and other areas within the remit of the Finance Manager and your team. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with financial controls policy & procedure, escalation of control issues and communicating key financial controls messages across the virtual finance teams for your designated business area. You will deliver the business planning and management accounting processes for the designated business area for OPEX and CAPEX, driving continuous improvement of processes, communicating key messages and timescales to stakeholders. The budget areas you will be responsible will be of a mid-size and complexity.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for producing financial budgets and forecasts for your designated business area
• Single point of contact for assigned budget holders for provision of all financial data and information
• Working with your team and the Financial Controller, ensure key milestones and budget objectives are built into the timetable and plan
• Ensure compliance with the budget timetable and process
• Drive standardised continuous improvement in the budget process in conjunction with your team
• Deliver the forecasting process for the designated business area, challenge assumptions in the bottom up process and ensure forecasts reflect an appropriate balance of risk and opportunity

Requirements
