Position

Management Accountant

Location and Sector

Our client in the transport and logistics sector is looking for a new Management Accountant to join their growing team in London. Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, this role involves financial reporting, commercial responsibilities, and business partnering with operational teams.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare timely and accurate management accounts with variance analysis for senior review.
2. Assist with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
3. Partner with operational teams, including budget holders and decision-makers, to support delivery.
4. Provide high-quality financial reporting, maintain financial controls, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
5. Perform balance sheet reconciliations for key control accounts.
6. Process accruals and prepayments.
7. Handle additional ad hoc reporting and analytical tasks.

Candidate profile

Ideal candidates are newly qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or part-qualified with strong financial reporting experience and an analytical mindset. A commercial and consultative approach, along with strong systems skills including Excel, is essential.
