Job summary

Prospectus is seeking a proactive Management Accountant to join a finance team supporting project-based work. You will prepare management accounts, assist budgeting and forecasting, and provide insightful financial analysis to drive informed decisions.

You will partner with budget holders and project leads, translating complex financial information for non-finance colleagues and ensuring compliance with funding requirements and internal procedures. Strong Excel and systems skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience preparing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
• Strong analytical and financial business partnering skills.
• Excellent Excel and financial systems knowledge.
• Confident communicator with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance audiences.

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant to join a finance team supporting a complex, project-based organisation. This role combines core management accounting responsibilities with business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, and project finance support.

Working closely with budget holders and project leads, you will provide high-quality financial information, support effective decision-making, and help ensure projects and departments are managed within budget. You will be responsible for preparing management accounts, supporting annual budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring financial performance, and providing insightful financial analysis.

The successful candidate will build strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders, translating complex financial information into practical guidance, while ensuring compliance with funding requirements, reporting obligations, and internal financial procedures.
