Job summary

VisionFR Limited in Central London is seeking a Management Accountant to operate across a portfolio of clients in marketing and creative services. You will own the full finance cycle from AP/AR to management accounts, working with client directors and senior leadership.

The role requires knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, and experience with Xero is preferred. You will join a team that supports growth and professional development in a client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with directors.
• Experience working with marketing/creative agencies is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own full finance function up to producing Management Accounts.
• Handle transactional postings (AP/AR), bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and WIP/revenue recognition.
• Liaise with client company directors during month-end close.
• Oversee VAT calculations and returns; PAYE & NI reconciliations.
• Support management accounts and financial reporting across clients.

Looking to broaden your experience beyond a single business? This is a chance for a Management Accountant from the marketing or creative services sector to work across a varied portfolio of clients and develp their career path towards that of Financial Controller.

Our client acts as the outsourced finance function for a wide range of SMEs, around 85% of them in marketing communications and creative services. Depending on each client's size and complexity, they provide individuals or full teams to run everything an in-house finance department would.

You’ll own the full cycle, from AP/AR processing and balance sheet, bank, and ledger reconciliations through to month end, including WIP management, revenue recognition, and management accounts. Along the way you’ll work with different leadership teams and ways of working, building the breadth of experience that’s hard to find in-house.

We’re looking for someone ambitious who understands how marketing and creative agencies operate and is confident building relationships with clients.

The Role of the Management Accountant:

• All aspects of the finance function up to and including producing Management Accounts
• Mainly sole-role working with transactional postings, AP, AR, bank etc
• Reconciliations: AP, AR, bank, balance sheet
• Cash Flow forecasting
• Liaising with Directors of client companies
• VAT calculations and returns
• PAYE & NI reconciliations
• WIP management and monthly revenue recognition

The Candidate:

• Strong understanding of double entry book-keeping
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA studier or AAT qualified
• Good experience in Marketing Communications or Creative services industry
• Experience of Xero accounting software preferred.
• Be able to demonstrate an ability to work with company directors and owner/managers
• Good communication skills, happy using the telephone!
• Ambitious, looking to grow & develop
