Your day at Aqua:

• Preparation of monthly management, Food Cost Analysis and Statutory Submissions.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure timely workflow is maintained to month-end closure.
• Business partnering with operational teams
• Process improvement and automation
• Processing of daily cash-up sheets, banking and investigation of material cash differences, voids etc.
• Production of daily / monthly sales reports
• Analysis of monthly sales figures against budget, forecast and investigate variances
• Accounting for events, including maintenance of customer accounts and credit control.
• Accounting for all deposits received.
• Comparison of cash and credit card receipts to bank receipts, including analysis and investigate and resolve variances.
• Issue and account for inter-company cross-charge invoices monthly
• Reconciliation of Inter-company accounts at month-ends
• Point of contact for external auditors and group reporting
• Preparation of budget & forecast schedules
• Prepare interim and year-end audit files & supporting schedules
• Assist Head of Finance with analysis and ad-hoc reporting as required
• Compile and file turnover information to the Landlords on time
• Assist with quarterly VAT return submissions and other statutory submissions
• Assist in implementing internal control procedures
• Provide financial training for Operational Team
• Ensure timely Payments to Trade Creditors and occasional payment processing and intercompany transfers
• Assist and/or cover for Accounts payable when and if required
• Other duties as required

What we are looking for:

• Experience of using Sage Line 50 - Essential
• Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred
• Strong Excel Skills
• Self-motivated, organised and fast learner
• Ability to meet strict accounting deadlines
• Multi-site accounting experience
• Qualified/Part-Qualified accountant/QBE - ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with at least two/three years experience
