What you’ll do:

• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to support business profitability and expansion.
• Management Reporting: Provide accurate and insightful reports to facilitate key decision-making processes.
• Journal Preparation: Prepare month-end and year-end journals with precision and efficiency.
• Management Accounts: Generate detailed Management Accounts to assist in strategic planning and execution.
• Budgeting: Contribute to the annual budgeting and planning process, aligning with the business goals.
• Capital Expenditure Management: Oversee capital expenditure to optimise resources.
• Financial Statements: Produce comprehensive financial statements, including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis, and insightful commentaries.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
• Team Leadership: Guide and motivate the wider team to achieve excellence in financial operations.
• Customs Compliance: Take ownership of customs bonded warehouse compliance with HMRC regulations.
• Process Improvement: Review accounting processes and practices, identifying areas for improvement to enhance efficiency.

Skills & Knowledge Specification:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a related finance role.
• CIMA or AAT Level 4 Qualified
• Strong proficiency in Excel and good data reporting experience
• Commitment to meeting deadlines with accurate information.
• Great attention to detail and a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems, with experience using Xero being advantageous.
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
