Management Accountant
Location: Outskirts of Epsom, with hybrid working options available

We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established and highly successful financial services organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a busy finance team of four, providing accurate management information, driving financial control, and supporting strategic decision making across the business.
Reporting into a senior finance leader, you’ll take ownership of month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities, while partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to improve financial performance and cost management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Prepare and submit monthly General Ledger data and Key Performance Indicators.
- Produce monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs for senior stakeholders.
- Deliver detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
- Take ownership of cost centre reporting and overhead expenditure analysis.
- Work closely with budget holders to monitor and control costs, including project expenditure.
- Calculate and maintain key financial provisions.
- Ensure compliance with external reporting obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and controls.
- Support finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as a deputy to senior finance leadership when required.
- Provide guidance and coaching to a direct report.
- About You
- We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional with strong management accounting experience and the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Proven background in management accounting and month-end reporting.
- Experience working with large asset bases and complex financial environments.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning experience.
- Excellent cost control and financial analysis skills.
- Business partnering experience with non-finance stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Power BI.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to interpret and present financial data to senior management.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive, self-motivated and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong team player with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
