Senior Consultant | Northwest | Newly Qualified Finance

Sowena Group is partnering with an international retail group based in the heart of Cheshire for their search for a new Management Accountant.

This Pioneering Retail & Technology group is looking to build their internal team in order to continue their category expansion and drive growth over the coming years. The finance team plays a pivotal role in steering the financial strategy and ensuring sustainable growth, so this is a fantastic role for an ambitious Management Accountant to join the team and empower the company with accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to drive informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and timely management reporting to assist to business stakeholders.
• Produce month end and year end journals.
• Prepare management accounts.
• Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth.
• Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and board packs.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
• Review accounting/business processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.
• Working on International subsidiaries as the main point of contact.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Qualified or Finalist level ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA
• Previous experience in the retail/ stockist industry ideal
• Demonstratable track record in a high-growth e-commerce business
• Excellent analytical skills and strong commercial acumen.
• Proactive, structured, and disciplined approach to work.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and expert user of MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Location: Hybrid working with 4 days in the office
