Job summary

Eaton Syalon Ltd in North Nottinghamshire is seeking a Management Accountant for a 15-month fixed-term contract. The role offers a starting salary of £50,000 plus benefits, with a November or December 2026 start date.

You will join an established finance team and deliver timely financial information, driving performance insights and informed decision-making. Working closely with finance and operations, you’ll manage monthly accounts, budgets and forecasts, support statutory reporting and VAT

Responsibilities

• Support VAT reporting and compliance.
• Contribute to development of financial systems, reporting and controls across multi-currency, multi-entity environment.
• Collaborate across the finance function on projects and improvements.

Eaton Syalon are delighted to be supporting a high growth business with the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join one of the group's key functions on a 15 month fixed term contract.

Joining an established finance team, you'll take on a broad and varied role combining management accounting, financial reporting, analysis and business partnering.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting involved, can quickly build relationships across a business and is confident taking ownership of their responsibilities. With plenty happening across the organisation, there will be real scope to contribute and add value throughout the assignment.

The Role

Working closely with finance and operational colleagues, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information, providing insight into business performance and supporting effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Management Accounts & Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, cashflow forecasts, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting financial analysis.
• Business Partnering: Work closely with operational and commercial teams to understand performance, provide financial insight and identify risks and opportunities.
• Statutory & Audit Support: Assist with statutory accounts preparation, regulatory requirements and the provision of information to external auditors and advisors.
• VAT & Compliance: Support VAT reporting and compliance, maintaining accurate financial records and controls.
• Processes & Systems: Contribute to the ongoing development of financial systems, reporting and controls across a multi-currency, multi-entity environment.
• Wider Finance Support: Work collaboratively across the finance function, supporting colleagues and contributing to wider projects and improvement initiatives.

About You

We're keen to speak with experienced Management Accountants who are available for their next assignment, or coming towards the end of an existing contract.

We are seeking an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Accountant for this role and you will bring:

• Solid experience in management accounting, financial reporting and month-end processes.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret and communicate financial information.
• A hands-on, adaptable approach and the confidence to take ownership of your workload.
• The ability to build effective working relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues.
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to get up to speed quickly and contribute within a busy finance environment.

Previous interim or fixed-term contract experience would be welcomed, although we're equally interested in hearing from experienced accountants considering their first contract opportunity.
