Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities.
• Post month-end journals including accruals, prepayments and other adjustments.
• Complete bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
• Analyze P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting activities.
• Monitor costs and identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support cash flow forecasting and reporting.
• Assist with labour recovery and cost allocation processes.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and asset accounting.
• Assist year-end audit processes and respond to auditor requests.
• Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.

Due to continued growth and increasing reporting demands, my client is seeking a Management Accountant. Working closely with the Finance Managers, this role will support the management accounting process, forecasting activities and financial analysis across multiple entities within the division.

Description

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple business entities.
• Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
• Complete bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Assist with the production and analysis of profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting activities, providing insight into financial performance.
• Monitor operational and project costs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with cash flow management, forecasting, and reporting.
• Support labour recovery and cost allocation processes across the business.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate asset accounting.
• Assist with year-end audit processes and respond to external auditor requests.
• Provide ad hoc financial reporting, analysis, and support to Finance Managers and key stakeholders.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• A professional accounting qualification CIMA, ACCA, ACA or QBE.
• Proven experience in management accounting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Good understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
