Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet.
• Support month-end processes: journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Check and reconcile purchase ledgers for three sites.
• Manage rebates, sales ledger reconciliations and purchase ledger checks across three sites.
• Assist with VAT returns, year-end accounts and audits.
• Collaborate with operations on cost control, budgeting and commercial decisions.
• Support ERP development and data integrity improvements.

We’re looking for a proactive and analytical Management Accountant to join our clients growing business and support the Financial Controller in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and providing insight to support business decisions. This is a full-time office based role paying £55k - £60k doe plus benefits.

The role requires sound technical accounting knowledge and a practical, analytical and collaborative approach, with a focus on reliable reporting, effective processes and continuous improvement.

The Role

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss and balance sheet reporting.
• Support month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, stock adjustments and reconciliations.
• Check and reconcile the purchase ledgers for 3 sites.
• Manage customer rebates, sales ledger reconciliations and purchase ledger checks across three sites.
• Assist with VAT returns, year-end accounts and audit requirements.
• Work closely with operational teams to support cost control, budgeting and commercial decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and systems including support for ERP development and data integrity.
