Job description

I am working on with a london market insurer who is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to support their quarterly close processes and strengthen financial reporting across multiple entities. This is a hands-on role working closely with both the US and UK Finance Managers, with oversight of four external contractors (no direct reports).

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including banking, treasury, and financial controls.

  • Prepare quarterly management accounts, consolidation packs, and board reporting materials.

  • Maintain efficient month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow oversight.

  • Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain strong audit files.

  • Ensure accurate intercompany accounting, including recharges, accruals, and prepayments.

  • Deliver management, regulatory, and compliance reporting.

  • Support process improvement initiatives and assist with finance setup for new business activities.

  • Identify and manage financial risks and ensure compliance with reporting standards.

  • Review and approve invoices, expenses, payments, and payroll-related items.
