Job Purpose Statement
We are looking for a positive thinking and hardworking individual to join Datim Ltd as a Management Accountant. You will be a key member of the busy and diverse finance department, supporting the Finance Director. The role involves core day-to-day finance tasks, purchase ledger management, quality control over financial transactions and reporting. You will also be involved in budgeting & forecasting, P&L & margin variance analysis, ERP & IT system developments, and other finance projects. Job-specific training will be provided, especially for the ERP system.

- Qualified or Part Qualified AAT, ACCA, CIMA.
Key Accountabilities
- Be a key member of the Finance Department, working with the Finance Director on core finance tasks including Accounts Payable, bank reconciliations, cash flow, fixed assets, accruals & prepayments, and month-end accounts.
- Maintain the purchase ledger daily, ensuring invoices & credit notes are posted correctly and payments allocated properly.
- Prepare month-end creditors reports, liaise with internal teams and suppliers to resolve queries, and clear aged items promptly.
- Reconcile supplier statements to the ledger.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and post payments & receipts.
- Prepare month-end accounts for three companies, including journal entries, accruals & prepayments, and data export for reporting.
- Conduct variance analysis, comparing to previous years, budgets, and forecasts.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, review and code CAPEX, and process depreciation.
- Manage the Quarterly VAT return process for three companies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, with full reconciliation.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to review contracts and ensure invoicing accuracy.
- Monitor margins, close orders, and handle company credit card and employee expenses.
- Provide cover for Accounts receivable and support ad hoc duties such as budgeting, audits, and ERP system development.
Technical Competencies
- Experience in producing management accounts for SMEs, with knowledge of Sage 200.
- Proficiency in Excel pivot tables and VLookups.
- Sound business and commercial judgment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
