Purpose of Role:

• Delivery of robust financial reporting
• Ownership and control of specified areas of the income statement and balance sheet
• Analysis and explanation of actual results against historic trends

Key Accountabilities:

• Participate in the preparation of the monthly management accounts and analyze key variances against prior periods
• Take ownership of accounting for specified areas of the income statement and balance sheet, including posting monthly journals
• Develop and maintain clear management information to facilitate understanding of trends
• Ensure accounting and monthly reporting are completed in accordance with group instructions and deadlines
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure reporting accuracy
• Support external audit processes and ad hoc projects as required

Skills & Experience Required:

• Professional accountancy qualification (minimum AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA/CIMA part-qualified)
• Proven experience in a finance role
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, nested formulas, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF, SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT)
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently, seeking support when needed
• Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders
• Interest in developing technical accounting and industry knowledge
• Ability to share expertise and develop others
