Job Title: Management Accountant

A key long-standing Brighton-based client is looking to expand its finance department with a permanent hire for the position of Management Accountant.

Job Description

As a Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

1. Production of client finance statements
2. Preparation of detailed project reconciliations
3. Supporting transactional activities, including invoice processing and cashbook entries
4. Monthly sign-off on entry postings and reconciliations
5. Ensuring accuracy in client cash monitoring and reporting
6. Signing off on auction finance statements and reconciliations, and presenting them internally and to external clients
7. Authorising outgoing payments
8. Mentoring, training, and managing the team to meet deadlines
9. Reporting month-end accounting figures to the Board

The Successful Applicant

• Experience in supervisory or managerial roles
• Proven track record in producing monthly management accounts
• Experience in reconciling accounts and filing VAT returns
• Qualified or part-qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or AAT
