Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified or qualified by experience accountant with strong manufacturing accounting experience.

Management Accountant
Bolton - £55,000-£65,000 - Permanent

My client is an established manufacturing organisation based in Bolton, part of a larger group. They are recruiting a hands on Management Accountant to take ownership of the accounts for two businesses, with opportunities for progression across the group depending on performance and capability.

As Management Accountant, you will independently manage the monthly management accounts, provide commentary on performance to senior management and support budgeting and forecasting. You will also oversee financial controls and have line management responsibility for two finance staff.

Manufacturing costing, stock control and inventory management are central to this position. You will review product costs and Bills of Materials, investigate stock and margin variances, and work closely with operations to improve the accuracy of financial information and support commercial decisions.

This role will suit a qualified or qualified by experience accountant with strong manufacturing accounting experience. You will need practical knowledge of product or standard costing, stock valuation and reconciliations, alongside the confidence to run the accounts with limited day to day supervision.

The salary is £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience. The role is based onsite in Bolton, with one day a week working from home.
