West Midlands Synod of the United Reformed Church in Yardley, Birmingham, seeks a Finance/Accounting professional on a fixed-term basis to support the Finance Officer and assist with financial management for Synod affairs.

You will be an excellent communicator with strong technical skills, able to work in a team and on your own initiative. One year fixed-term contract with potential extension and Safer Recruitment adherence.

Qualificações

• You will have a suitable professional qualification and experience of financial matters.
• Experience in financial matters, preferably relevant to a church, charity or not-for-profit organisation.

We are seeking someone to play a key role in the work of the West Midlands Synod of the United Reformed Church. Based at our office in Yardley, Birmingham, you will support the Finance Officer in the accounting and financial management work of the Synod’s affairs, providing cover for her as necessary. You will also liaise with the Honorary Treasurer and provide advice and support to local churches and other Synod staff.

Although you will need strong technical skills, we are looking for much more than that.
