Job summary

The Evangelical Alliance in London is seeking an experienced finance manager to lead our financial operations in a hybrid working environment. You will steward resources, provide timely financial insight, and partner with leaders to strengthen controls and processes that support our mission.

Working with a faith-filled team, you will influence budgeting, forecasting and statutory reporting, ensuring robust governance and long-term sustainability for the charity.

Qualifications

  • Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent senior-level experience.
  • Experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls in a charity context.
  • Ability to prepare statutory accounts and work with external auditors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into practical insights.

Job description

Evangelical Alliance, King's Cross, London N1 (hybrid working policy)

We are seeking an experienced finance manager to lead our financial operations, ensuring good stewardship of our resources to underpin our mission and long‑term sustainability. Working closely with leaders across the organisation, you will provide trustworthy financial insight, strengthen controls and processes, and help shape wise decisions for the future. In doing so, you will play a vital role in enabling the Evangelical Alliance to fulfil its vision – to make Jesus known by uniting the church in mission and voice.

If you have:

  • a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent senior‑level experience
  • strong experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls in a charity context, together with a confidence in preparing statutory accounts and working with external auditors
  • strong analytical skills, with the ability to spot risks and translate data into practical insights
  • the ability to communicate clearly and relationally with non‑finance colleagues and support decision‑making
