Job summary

Neighborly is seeking a proactive Management Accountant to support day-to-day financial management of its UK operations, ensuring accurate reporting and robust controls.

You will produce timely management information, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide financial insight to inform business decisions, collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

  • Experience in management accounting and financial analysis.
  • Proven ability to prepare management accounts and commentary.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with MS 365.

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end close and reporting process.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts with commentary on performance.
  • Produce and analyse KPIs (e.g., Daily Sales, AOV).
  • Process vendor invoices and credit card statements.
  • Calculate and report on sales commissions.
  • Prepare HMRC CIS submissions.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and robust controls.
  • Provide financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to improve understanding and decision-making.
  • Support external audit requirements and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulations.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role.

Job description

As Management Accountant, you will support the day-to-day financial management of the Pimlico Group, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and compliance with relevant accounting and regulatory requirements.


You will be responsible for producing timely management information, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and providing financial insight to help inform business decisions.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support the month-end close and reporting process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting deadlines.

  • Prepare monthly management accounts with clear and insightful commentary on business performance.

  • Produce and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), including Daily Sales and Average Order Value (AOV).

  • Process vendor invoices and credit card statements.

  • Calculate and report on sales commissions.

  • Prepare HMRC CIS submissions.

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls.

  • Provide financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and performance reviews.

  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to improve financial understanding and decision-making.

  • Support external audit requirements and deliverables.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and financial regulations.

  • Contribute to process improvements and drive efficiencies within the finance function.

  • Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role.


About You

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded finance professional who combines strong technical accounting skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.


Essential Experience & Qualifications


  • Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.

  • Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA (final stages) or qualified AAT.

  • Strong experience preparing management accounts and financial analysis.

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency across Microsoft 365 applications.

  • Excellent understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and accounting principles.

  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.


Desirable


  • Experience within a services, engineering, construction, or contracting-based organisation.

  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).

  • Experience preparing CIS returns.
