Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Mammographer in the Bolton Breast Imaging Service, based at Bolton Royal Hospital with three satellite sites. The role focuses on mammography for breast screening and symptomatic patients, including assisting with biopsies and localisations and performing routine equipment quality control.

You will work with a team across various grades and support less experienced staff.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers equivalent.
• PG Certificate in Mammography.
• HCPC registration required or equivalent indemnity/membership.

Responsabilités

• Perform mammography examinations to NHSBSP guidelines with precision and speed.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and adequacy.
• Vet symptomatic and family history requests to justify imaging under IR(ME)R 2017.
• Carry out assessment mammography and assist in interventional procedures, including core biopsies, VABs and localisations.
• Assist practitioners during biopsies using basic nursing techniques.
• Carry out quality control and safety checks and report faults.
