Job summary

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Enhanced Clinical Practitioner/Mammographer to deliver expert breast imaging services across Bolton and Greater Manchester. The role balances autonomous practice with collaborative MDT input.

You will perform advanced imaging, maintain high standards of patient care, contribute to QA, and support service development while pursuing CPD to stay at the forefront of breast imaging.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate Award in Mammographic Imaging.
• MSc module in Advanced Medical Imaging in Interventional Procedures.
• Extensive experience working as a Mammographer within a breast imaging environment.
• Evidence of continued professional development and commitment to maintaining advanced clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality diagnostic imaging across multiple breast imaging sites.
• Work autonomously within the specialist area while seeking advice from senior colleagues when needed.
• Maintain high standards of clinical performance, decision-making, and patient-centred care.
• Comply with IR(ME)R regulations and ensure safe, ethical imaging practice.
• Participate in departmental QA, quality control, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support delivery of breast imaging services.

Education

Postgraduate Award in Mammographic Imaging

MSc module in Advanced Medical Imaging in Interventional Procedures

Extensive experience working as a Mammographer within a breast imaging environment
