Job summary

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Qualified Mammographer to join the Breast Imaging Service. The successful candidate will perform high-quality mammography, support interventional procedures, and participate in quality control and continuous professional development.

The role requires a PG Certificate in Mammography Practice and a strong commitment to patient care, teamwork, and service improvement within a busy imaging environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform all mammography examinations to NHSBSP standards with precision and speed.
• Carry out quality control tests as per QA programme and report equipment issues.
• Vet imaging requests for symptomatic and family history patients under IR(ME)R 2017.
• Assist in interventional procedures (biopsies, VABs, localisations) as required.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff and students.
• Maintain infection control and environmental standards in all imaging areas.
