Job summary

Masters of Malt is seeking an Operations Assistant on a part-time basis to support Shift Operators across the malting plant from barley intake to malt dispatch. You will assist with process control via PLC, weighbridge operations, and daily hygiene and recording tasks, contributing to safe, efficient production.

The role emphasizes safety culture, environmental care and accurate documentation, with opportunities for training and career development within a global organization.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the full malting process from barley intake to malt despatch.
• Basic to intermediate IT skills for process documentation and records.
• Ability to follow process instructions with practical hands-on approach.
• Commitment to health, safety and food safety standards.
• Willingness to attain MAGB Fundamentals in Malting within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in control of the malting production process from barley to malt.
• Support weighbridge operations and loading of malt & co-products.
• Carry out site hygiene duties and record completion.
• Perform safety inspections and report deviations to management.
• Provide direct assistance to shift engineers and operators as needed.
