Job summary

Dimensions is seeking a confident Male Support Worker to assist one young man in his 20s living in a bungalow in TF2. The role supports a person with learning disabilities and autism, using Positive Behaviour Support and structured routines.

Shifts include days and evenings. A full UK manual driving licence for mobility vehicle use is required. Training is provided for handling distress and transition planning, with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Male applicants only due to Gender Act requirement.
• Experience with autism or distress behaviours preferred, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support.
• Follow structured routines important to the client.
• Support medication administration.
• Utilise Positive Behaviour Support approaches.
• Support community access with 2:1 staffing.
• Recognise non-verbal distress cues.
• Maintain clear, calm boundaries and expectations.
• Collaborate with team to ensure consistent support.
• Assist transition planning and positive outcomes.
