Secondary School PE Teacher (Male) – Full Time Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated Male PE Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Basildon. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students, promote a healthy lifestyle, and develop a love for physical education across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons across a wide range of sports and physical activities.
  • Encouraging participation, teamwork, and resilience in both practical and theory lessons.
  • Organising and leading extracurricular clubs, sports teams, and competitions.
  • Supporting students of all abilities, including those with additional needs, ensuring an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitoring progress, assessing performance, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Promoting health, fitness, and well-being throughout the school community.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching PE at secondary and sixth form level (although ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply).
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver both practical and theoretical elements of PE.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
  • A passion for inspiring young people to achieve their personal best in sport and physical activity.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
