Job summary

Avenues Group in Hildenborough is seeking an experienced Male Support Worker to join our PBS service, supporting five men with learning disabilities, autism and communications needs. The role is full-time (39 hours) on a rota, requiring flexibility across shifts and rural travel access.

You will help individuals live as independently as possible with dignity and choice. Experience in PBS is essential, as is a driving licence or access to transport.

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours of concern.
• Knowledgeable in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches.

Responsibilities

• Supporting people to live independently while promoting choice, dignity and respect.
• Providing person-centred support tailored to individual needs and aspirations.
• Supporting people with daily living tasks, including cooking, shopping, managing finances and maintaining their home.
• Providing personal care where required.
• Using Positive Behaviour Support approaches to understand and respond to behaviours of concern.
