Job summary

Obsidian in London is seeking contributors for Malayalam document annotation and transcription tasks. You will identify and bound each meaningful region on Malayalam PDFs, assign component types and reading order, and record relationships to figures or tables.

You will transcribe faithfully in Malayalam script, including hand-written text, and flag unreadable regions. You will also capture metadata such as language, document type, and page dimensions, with strict accuracy and double-check

Qualifications

• Native Malayalam speaker with full command of Malayalam script and orthography.
• Experience with document annotation or transcription is a plus.
• Extremely careful with character-level accuracy and layout details.

Responsibilities

• Annotate and bound every meaningful region of Malayalam documents with correct type and reading order.
• Transcribe text exactly as it appears in Malayalam, including handwritten content.
• Record page metadata and relationships between regions and figures/tables.
• Review work through second expert quality check.
