Qualifications

• Strong development management experience across major planning schemes.
• Experience handling major planning applications and complex proposals.
• Ability to liaise with applicants, developers, consultants and statutory consultees.
• Knowledge of planning policy, legislation and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of major planning applications, typically involving developments of 50-150 units.
• Assessing and progressing new major applications through the Development Management process.
• Reviewing planning submissions and assessing proposals against relevant planning policies and legislation.
• Liaising with applicants, developers, consultants and statutory consultees.
• Preparing planning reports and recommendations.
• Working with colleagues to ensure applications progress efficiently within timescales.
