Major and Complex Loss - Property Academy Director

Job Overview

Our Major and Complex Loss teams are central to our business, managing technical and complex claims, including flood damage leading to Business Interruption and claims related to catastrophic events.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with mentors and peer reviewers to uphold high standards of quality
• Develop staff handling claims valued between £50K-£250K
• Contribute to training and development initiatives
• Enhance technical delivery and improve customer and claim outcomes
• Assist in creating technical guidance documents on key topics

Qualifications

We seek candidates who:

• Have proven experience handling MCL claims to high standards
• Are ACILA qualified
• Can work independently and demonstrate attention to detail
• Possess excellent customer service and communication skills
• Maintain a positive, proactive problem-solving attitude
• Can coordinate multiple actions concurrently
• Can motivate and communicate effectively across experience levels
• Are quality-focused and team-oriented
• Are proficient with technology (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
• Have extensive knowledge of Commercial & Domestic Losses
• Possibly have a market/client reputation and contribute to technical papers/presentations
• Have staff mentoring and development experience
