Job summary

Pertemps is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an ongoing temp role in Bath. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance to keep student accommodation safe, functional and ready for residents ahead of the new academic year.

Immediate start with flexible hours between 8:00/9:00 AM and 4:00/5:00 PM on Mon, Wed, Fri. Ideal candidates have practical maintenance skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Immediate availability to start.
• Hands-on maintenance experience across building environments.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the building.
• Repair door handles, locks, furniture, fittings and fixtures.
• Replace light bulbs and complete basic electrical repairs.
• Undertake minor plumbing tasks, including fixing taps and unblocking drains.
• Complete painting touch-ups and minor decorating work.
• Inspect appliances and report faults.
• Ensure rooms meet health and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from the site team.
• Support the wider team in preparing accommodation for incoming residents.
